The Australasian Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion (ABCP) is established under the Rules of the Australia New Zealand College of Perfusionists (ANZCP).
Its role is:
- To establish and maintain a credentialing process (examination) on the basis of which the ABCP CCP qualification is awarded to appropriate applicants;
- To establish and maintain a register of Perfusionists who have been awarded the ABCP CCP qualification;
- To establish and maintain a register of Perfusionists who are currently certified as Fellows of the ANZCP
- To support and maintain education in perfusion in Australia and New Zealand; and
- To establish a Code of Ethics and a Code of Practice for Clinical Perfusion in Australia and New Zealand
