The Royal Hobart Hospital and Department of General Medicine are recruiting suitably qualified applicants for a Trainee Perfusionist.
This full-time trainee position offers hands-on training in perfusion science under direct supervision. We seek outstanding individuals who are committed to mastering this highly specialised field.
We are looking for exceptional candidates who:
- Possess a strong academic background in biomedical or health sciences.
- Are highly motivated, detail-oriented, and committed to clinical excellence, research, and teamwork.
- Exhibit outstanding problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in high-pressure situations.
- Have a proactive approach to learning and professional development.
Responsibilities include:
- Completing the Australia and New Zealand College of Perfusionists (ANZCP) -accredited training program – Monash University Master of Cardiovascular Perfusion.
- Meeting Entry Level 1 of the Monash program, requiring an Australian bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in a relevant field (human biology, physics, and chemistry) with a WAM of 60 (GPA 5.0). - Developing advanced practical competency in cardiopulmonary bypass and related cardiac support.
