The Hospital or Service Provider
*
is an established perfusion unit or service provider with a minimum of 12 months operational experience in clinical perfusion;
The Hospital or Service Provider
*
Undertakes a minimum of 200 cardiopulmonary bypass cases per year are performed at the unit (150 for paediatric units). Note: if the unit performs less than the minimum required number of cases they may apply to share a trainee between multiple sites (both sites must apply separately);
*
The Hospital or Service Provider

Has adequate staffing and resources to maintain clinical support and supervision while undertaking training;
*
The Hospital or Service Provider
*
Declares that it uses maintained and in-service perfusion equipment, consumables and technology that meets the minimum safety standard as detailed in the ANZCP Standards & Guidelines Policy;

The Hospital or Service Provider
*
Declares that departmental and emergency protocols exist and have been developed in line with the ANZCP Standards & Guidelines Policy;

*
Agrees to using ANZBP-approved supervisors in the clinical setting. Note: supervisors must individually apply to the ANZBP via the Supervisor Application Form on the drop down menu or link on right of this webpage
*
The Hospital or Service Provider
*
Supplies the name of any perfusionist acting in a clinical supervisory role during the training period (note: must hold a CCP (ANZ) or OTP (ANZ) with minimum 2 years’ experience);

Commits to providing a reasonable amount of study time for the student(s) during their working week;

Commits to providing a suitable environment and appropriately allocate time for all course examinations;

Commits to employ and support the trainee for the duration of their training, and complete training in no greater than three years from the commencing date* (the recommendation is for a minimum of 3 sessions per week dedicated to training);

Agrees to provide supporting documents to the ANZBP in the event of an audit. ANZBP reserves the right to audit as they see fit;

Understands that it is required to renew training accreditation every 4 years to maintain accreditation.
