Adam Roshan is a senior Clinical Perfusionist with extensive experience across adult and complex cardiac surgical services in Australia. He has worked in high-volume tertiary centres supporting coronary artery bypass grafting, valve surgery, aortic procedures, mechanical circulatory support, and heart & lung transplantation. Adam has a particular interest in extracorporeal life support (ECLS), ventricular assist devices (VAD), and advanced perfusion technologies that enhance patient safety and clinical outcomes.
In addition to his clinical role, Adam works as a Clinical Specialist with Spectrum Medical supporting the implementation and optimisation of the Quantum Perfusion System across Australia and New Zealand. Through this role, he collaborates with perfusion teams to facilitate system integration, clinical training, wet-lab demonstrations, and on-site case support. His focus is on ensuring departments gain both technical confidence and practical proficiency when introducing new technologies into their workflows.
Adam is also strongly committed to simulation-based education. He has designed and delivered high-fidelity perfusion simulation programs that integrate crisis management, troubleshooting, and routine clinical scenarios. His sessions emphasise human factors, communication, and structured debriefing to strengthen team performance in high-acuity environments. He believes simulation plays a critical role in maintaining clinical readiness, supporting continuing professional development, and fostering a culture of safety within cardiac surgical teams.
Adam remains passionate about advancing the perfusion profession through education, collaboration, and the responsible adoption of innovative technologies across Australia and New Zealand.
