Presentation Types
Submissions are invited for oral presentations (including original research, literature reviews, clinical techniques, and case reports), as well as alternative session formats (e.g. Fireside Chat, where applicable). Please indicate your preferred format at the time of submission.
Presentation time slots are typically 15–20 minutes, with a 15-minute panel discussion at the conclusion of each session. Additional information and specific requirements for trainee and student presentations will be shared by the ANZBP shortly.
Abstract Submission Guidelines
- Abstracts must be submitted electronically via the link on the ANZCP ASM webpage by Sunday 16 August 2026; late submissions will not be considered.
- Abstracts must be written in clear English, using past tense where appropriate.
- Abstracts must not exceed 300 words (Excl. title and author details).
- The title should be concise and descriptive of the presentation (no abbreviations in the title).
- Abstracts should follow a structured format, where applicable;
Research Papers should concisely outline the Background/Introduction, Aims/Objectives, Methods, Results, Conclusions; Case reports and non-research submissions may use a modified structure where appropriate. - Tables, figures, graphs, and diagrams are not permitted.
- Abbreviations should be limited to commonly accepted terms and defined at first use.
- Full names of all authors must be provided, with the presenting author underlined, along with institutional affiliations. A valid contact email address for the presenting author must be included.
- All abstracts will be reviewed by the Scientific Committee, which reserves the right to determine acceptance, presentation format, and scheduling.
- Accepted abstracts will be published in ANZCP official publications, and submission implies consent for publication.
- Authors will be notified of the outcome by Friday 11 September 2026
Conflicts of Interest / Ethics Declaration
Authors must declare any conflicts of interest relevant to the submission. Ethics approval must be obtained for research involving human participants, and patient consent must be obtained for case reports where applicable.
Presentation and Registration
- Presentations may be delivered in-person or virtually, depending on program requirements and presenter availability.
- The presenting author must be registered for the meeting for the abstract to be included in the program.
- Presentation duration and further instructions will be provided to successful authors.
ANZCP Awards
ANZCP Full Fellows and Clinical Trainee Members will be eligible for consideration for ANZCP Awards.
